Manual Osteopathic Therapy

Manual Osteopathy

Manual Osteopathic Therapy (MOT) is a hands-on approach focused on restoring body function, balance, and eliminating pain. The goal is to help individuals address the root cause of discomfort through personalized treatment plans that support healing and long-term wellness by stimulating an individual’s inherent ability to self heal.

In a treatment the therapist will make subtle adjustments with their hands to the fascia, joints, organs or muscles. A single treatment may include a combination of the four core techniques:

  • Osteoarticulations: Gentle joint adjustments to encourage natural alignment. This is done with muscle energy techniques.
  • CranioSacral Therapy: Light-touch therapy targeting fluid and membranes around the
    brain and spinal cord.
  • Visceral Manipulation: Hands-on therapy supporting organ mobility and connective
    tissue health.
  • Advanced Fascial Release: Treatment focusing on the fascia to relieve chronic pain
    and enhance mobility.

Manual Osteopathy can assist with a wide range of conditions including but not limited
to:

  • Sciatica, headaches, joint pain, menstrual pain
  • Digestive issues, anxiety, depression, and organ health
  • Injuries from falls, TMJ dysfunction, and mobility restrictions
